On August 3, 2026, Li Qiang, Official of the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), Luo Xinjian, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Global Green Supply Chain Initiative (GGSC), and Gao Xuting, Deputy Secretary-General of GGSC visited the China Timber & Wood Products Distribution Association (CTWPDA). The two sides held in-depth discussions on key matters covering preparations for the 2026 Global Legal and Sustainable Timber Forum (GLSTF 2026) and approaches to high-quality development of the timber industry, and reached a consensus on relevant cooperation arrangements.

President Li Jiafeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation from ITTO and the GGSC Secretariat. He stated that the Association will steadily advance all preparatory work for the GLSTF 2026, bolster international exchanges and cooperation, and facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the timber sector.

Li Qiang from ITTO commended the constructive role played by the Association in international timber industry exchanges and cooperation. He emphasized the necessity of building a long-term communication mechanism anchored on the forum platform to promote the sustainable and healthy development of the global timber sector.

Relevant staff of the Association attended the meeting. The three parties agreed to maintain efficient communication, steadily push forward cooperative initiatives, further deepen international exchanges and collaboration within the timber industry, and jointly drive the high-quality development of the sector.
